Freddie once said: “The most important thing is to live a fabulous life. As long as it’s fabulous, I don’t care how long it is.”
And Montreux in September? It WAS fabulous.
World of Freddie, for the first time in Montreux, joined fans from across the globe for Freddie Celebration Days — and we brought something truly special with us.
We had the chance to offer a first-ever look at our upcoming exhibition: Freddie – The Exhibition, opening at Budapest’s House of Music Hungary in spring 2026.
During a live talk show with founder Tomas Hykel, Peter Freestone, and Horn Márton from the House of Music Hungary, we introduced visitors to the project, unveiled original items from the World of Freddie collection, and shared stories, smiles, and plenty of Freddie magic. The entire talk show was moderated by Jim Jenkins. We can already say it was a huge success — but don’t worry if you missed it! The full show is available on our YouTube.

Our Montreux zone had something for everyone:
- a photo booth with Freddie props,
- a giant inflatable globe highlighting key locations in Freddie’s life,
- a message wall,
- spin-the-wheel for small prizes,
- scratch cards for exhibition vouchers,
- and of course — early bird gift vouchers for Freddie – The Exhibition (still available as the perfect gift!).

Most importantly, we connected with you — the fans — face to face.
We heard your stories, answered your questions, and shared laughs (and yes, a few tears). It was an emotional, unforgettable celebration of Freddie’s birthday, capped off with a cake cutting led by Peter Freestone and Jim Jenkins, singing Happy Birthday, and then dancing into the night at the White Party in true Freddie style.
This year’s edition of Freddie Celebration Days was also deeply personal — dedicated in memory of Norbert Müller — a lifelong Queen fan, passionate local, and the man who helped turn Montreux into a pilgrimage site for fans.
Norbert started with a simple souvenir shop called Bazar Swiss, which holds the unique honour of being the only official Queen merchandise store in the world, recognised by the band’s production team. Behind the everyday gifts and magnets is a space filled with real history and fan passion.Norbert’s passing came just one day after last year’s celebration. This year’s event honoured his legacy — from a remembrance installation near the chalet to heartfelt words from Queen circles.
And to close the celebration with something truly unforgettable…
The legendary Queen tribute band God Save The Queen, long admired by Norbert, flew in all the way from Argentina to perform in Montreux.
We had the chance to experience their one-of-a-kind concert live — and it was nothing short of spectacular. But it would not be the same without the crowds. For us, it was the fans who made this year’s celebration so special…the fans who came, laughed, listened, and experienced these few days with us. So thank you for making Montreux so magical, and we can’t wait to share more with
you as we bring Freddie’s story to life — on stage, in exhibitions, and in your hearts.

Montreux is more than a town.
It’s the heartbeat of the Queen community.
It’s where memories gather.
