The Love for Japan

Freddie Mercury’s love of Japanese art and culture was reflected in his remarkable collection of Japanese textiles at Garden Lodge, his London home. One of these original fabrics, adorned with a delicate, repeating pine motif, inspired the design of this limited-edition hoodie.

At first glance, its minimalist black front offers a timeless, understated look, while a printed story label on the sleeve hints at the inspiration behind it. Turn it around, and the intricate Japanese pattern takes centre stage, revealing a unique connection to Freddie’s personal world.

Sharing the same relaxed, oversized fit as the Japanese Hoodie, both pieces were created exclusively for Freddie – The Exhibition at House of Music Hungary in Budapest, celebrating Freddie’s passion for Japanese craftsmanship and design.

An edition of 299. Each piece is numbered.
